The best photo spots in Antalya

From the old town’s stone lanes to a waterfall dropping into the sea, here are the Antalya locations we love most — and when to shoot each one.

Kaleiçi old town street with bougainvillea, Antalya

The best photo spots in Antalya

Kaleiçi old town is the spot most guests picture first: narrow cobbled lanes, Ottoman wooden houses in mustard and terracotta, bougainvillea spilling over stone walls, and the clock tower marking the old city gate. It photographs beautifully any time of day thanks to the deep shade and warm-toned walls, but late afternoon light bouncing off the stone gives the richest colour. Kaleiçi also connects easily to the old harbour, so many sessions cover both in one walk.

Hadrian’s Gate sits right at the edge of Kaleiçi and is one of the few genuinely ancient backdrops in a modern Mediterranean city — a triple marble archway built for a Roman emperor’s visit in 130 AD. It suits couples and families who want one striking, monumental shot rather than a full walking tour. Morning light works well here since the gate faces a street that gets busy with traffic and pedestrians later in the day.

Konyaaltı beach gives you the classic Antalya postcard: pebble shoreline, turquoise water and the jagged Beydağları mountains rising straight out of the sea behind you. It’s our top pick for sunset portraits — the mountains catch pink and orange light as the sun drops, and the long open beach gives room for walking shots, splash shots or a simple seated portrait. Go an hour before sunset to catch the light without the midday crowds.

Lara beach, on the opposite side of the city, is calmer and sandier, backed by palm-lined promenades and a more resort-style feel. It works particularly well in the morning, when the light is soft and even and the beach is close to empty, and it’s a natural choice for families staying on the Lara side who don’t want to cross the whole city for a session.

Düden Waterfalls is the spot for something different — fresh water dropping straight into the sea from a cliff edge, with a genuinely dramatic backdrop that most visitors never expect from a beach city. Midday sun brings out rainbows in the spray, while late afternoon gives softer, moodier light. It’s a short detour from Lara and pairs well with a beach look earlier the same session.

The marina and old harbour, just below Kaleiçi, mix fishing boats, stone breakwaters and a hillside view back toward the old town — it’s one of the most versatile spots for couples and honeymoon shoots. Early evening, as the boats come in and the light turns gold, is the best window; it’s also a natural stop after a Kaleiçi walk since the two locations sit minutes apart.

A rooftop location adds a skyline or marina view and a completely different mood — closer to an editorial shoot than a beach holiday photo. We use rooftops mainly at blue hour, just after sunset, when the city lights come on and the sky still holds some colour. It’s a favourite for engagement and newlywed sessions that want one more dramatic, elevated shot alongside the beach and old-town images.

If you’re staying outside Antalya city in Kemer, Belek or Side, we can still plan a session around your resort — a nearby beach, marina or old-town corner rather than travelling the full distance into the city. Whichever spots suit your trip, message WeCare Photoshoot on WhatsApp with your dates and where you’re staying, and we’ll build a route across two or three locations that fits your Mini (€89), Classic (€149) or Premium (€249) package, with edited photos delivered within 48 hours.
